Not the great friends you thought they were

Please don’t tp my house!

I’m about to share a wildly unpopular thought about coffee and alcohol.

64% of Americans drink coffee every day, and 66% have at least 4 alcoholic drinks per week.

We use coffee to wake up and get going. We use wine to wind down from a long day. Yet this daily use is creating habits, and it’s causing our bodies to be dependent on something outside of us to function. This is considered self-medicating.

The problem is that the very thing we are using it for (usually anxiety or depression symptoms) is what it actually creates more of.

You don’t need coffee to kick start your brain and body, you don’t need wine to relax. You can feel amazing without it!
