Every year, summer blind sides me with it. Then next thing I know it’s time for fall activities again.
Busy is not ideal. It keeps you in fight or flight mode, which leads to stress, anxiety, depression, adrenal fatigue, and all kinds of subsequent health problems.
The first step is awareness, so you can create boundaries around your time. I, for instance, will go back to not scheduling meetings during family time. Our family time tends to be early in the day since we homeschool, so it’s easy to break this boundary. I have to be strong, but flexible, and forgiving of myself.
